That's of course correct! :o (I actually deleted tha DVD part from my previous post)

But there is no DVD support on the 350 anyway, and all the 'general' functionality is available; i.e. tha absolute majority of recording, playback and plugin options are equally well supported. That I'm actually able to rewind a recording is one of the more important things that the MVP supports and the PVR-350 doesn't.

In short - I don't miss any functionality on the MVP compared to the PVR-350 experience. Conversely - there are several things I get from the MVP that I don't get on the 350.

It's my understanding that 'cameluk' just wants to have a more stable frontend for basic GBPVR functionality than the 350, and that the MVP definately gives you :p

PS: cameluk - what ARE your specific needs from the MVP?

I am looking for good quality output, the new features like aspect ratio control, and multi speed fast forward and something that doesn't lock up when changing channel in live TV

I'm not fussed about DVD playback, as I don't have that with the PVR350

It sounds like I'm going to play with TV output from the video card as an alternative

Try that before buying new hardware. I was thinking about the MVP previously, but think it's a lot of money, so I started fiddling with the tv-out from my Epia M10k. At first the output was terrible. Unviewable. But after fiddling for a while I got it to be not perfect, but at least quite decent. Now that I've used it for a while I've gotten used to it.
