Minor issue but hopefully an easy one to fix.
- Setup a recurring manual recording with an Advanced Rule and save.
- Select the recording and then select Update
The Recording Type and Channel settings are lost. They are reset to the defaults.

This one is a little worse in 1.5.36.
I have a manual recording setup with an advanced rule and Recording Type = Record Daily.
If I try to update the recording it changes to Record Weekly and it cannot be changed.

Some progress but a few issues:

I can now change the channel to anything except "Any Channel". Additionally I cannot setup a new recording using "Any Channel".

I cannot update Recording Type. Its locked on "Daily" on my test recording.

Was this a one-off or recurring recording? You cant use 'Any Channel' on a one-off recording.

That is intentional. GBPVR was same - it didnt let you change the recording type after it was created. You'd have to delete it and recreate it if you want to change the type.

It is a daily recording.

Clarification: I can select "Any Channel" but once I select ok to save, it will change "Any Channel" to the first channel in the channel list. In my case SBS1. So I can select "Any Channel", I just cant save it.

Understood.

It may be better to pull this patch for now as the inability to setup new recordings using the "Any Channel" option is more important than the original issue.

Are you certain that this isn't just a display issue? While I have not tested this sort of manual recurring recording myself, I find that all my "All Episodes on this Channel" recurring recordings work fine and record shows in any timeslot, yet when viewed in the recurring list always show as "Daily - 8:00pm to 9:00pm" or whatever the timeslot was for the original show. I suppose that itself is something to be fixed, as it is a little confusing at times, but it is not causing any actual problem.

I ran another test to verify.
I setup an advanced daily recording selecting "Any Channel" and title like "%night%'. When I save it changes "Any Channel" to SBS1. In Pending Recordings it shows "Weatherwarch Overnight" (SBS1) but not "In the night garden" (ABC1).

There does not appear to be a way to use "Any Channel"
