My problem with the Schedules Direct EPG is fixed (Thanks, Sub) so I'm trying to get my DVB satellite capture source set up. I'm running NPVR in the same box as GB-PVR so it's using the same hardware (Twinhan DVB card...1025, IIRC) and drivers. It all works fine in GB-PVR but NPVR scan doesn't find the channels. I'm using the same values in both and the ini files for the satellite are virtually identical. GB-PVR finds two channels as Unknown1(AC3) and Unknown2(AC3). Looking at the NPVR log (attached) it looks like the signal strength and quality are there (and the same as GB-PVR shows) but it doesn't appear to find the channels. The TwinhanDTV app also finds and plays them just fine so I'm pretty sure the signal is sufficient. It's looking at AMC21, tp 22 (12140V) if you want to check Lyngsat. I'm trying to get the PBS HD channels. This where I record about 80% of my shows so I'd really like to get it going so I can swing over to NPVR. Any idea where to look? Any help will be appreciated.

Create a c:\temp directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\LogTSFlow=2 (DWORD) in the registry, then scan again, then zip and attach your c:\temp\mon.txt.

I can see it receiving transport stream data containing two channels. Is this not what you'd expect? If not, then this is some frequency.

Yes, there should be two channels. But I think the PIDs should be 49 and 65 for service IDs 3 and 4, at least according to Lyngsat.

When I run the scan, it seems to complete but doesn't show that it found any channels.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by some frequency. Then again, it's just after Midnight here. Happy New Year... Smile

BTW, you dont have seem to have the required directx components installed, which causes the app to render the UI in software. This will use a lot of extra CPU and will stop it from doing animations etc. You can get it from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...laylang=en

That said... you can also get this error message if you're temporarily using the app over remote desktop though. In which case you may already have the directx components installed, and can safely ignore this.

OK, thanks. I'll take care of that.

Any ideas about the channels not being found?

See if this helps. It adds logic to cope with situations where there is no SDT available (SDT = Service Descriptor Table, which is a list of the channels in the stream and their names). You'll still get no names, like GBPVR, because the SDT isnt available in the stream.

Yep, that did it. It found the two channels and seems to work fine. I think I'm pretty much good to go now. Thanks for all your help.
