Freesat Mappings

Hi,

I've just taken my first dip into NPVR, and it looks really good. I just have two(ish) questions ( ), does it still map UK Freeview channels by their numbers correctly? I added some DVB-S channels first and they assumed all the usual numbers. Also, is there a way of downloading a Freesat Channel Map so that I don't have to manually sort through the 446 channels it found? Is this what Bulk Map is about?

Really really impressed by the new software. Took me a while to work out where the "config" was, but as soon as I twigged to that it was really easy to use! Awesome piece of software, sub.

I'm, not sure it'll automatically get the UK Freeview channels or not. Its hard to know from this side of the world. I've not had anyone complain about it so far.

Is this what Bulk Map is about?

Bulk map is a place for you to point logs of channels at xmltv listings in one go, instead of having to do them one channel at a time.

It does the Freeview ones correctly for sure, but I can't remember what it does with Freesat. Once you mix them, things get messed up anyway as the numbers on Freeview don't match Freesat for the same channel (BBC1 is 1 or 101 etc).

At the end of the day, one of the big advantages to an HTPC is that you can pick and choose both the channels and the channel numbers you want for them; you don't have to stick to what the EPGs on normal boxes force you to use.

I dont recall it automatically choosing channel numbers. I have them arranged as I want anyway so wouldn't have wanted it to.
