I let NPVR through the firewall. Still no dice. What else do I need to do? Make npvr a shared dir?

On the local machine, http://127.0.0.1:8866/ should get you there. You'd probably need to add a firewall exception for NRecord.exe

btw Minor thing, the Genres seem to be missing from EWA in NPVR, even when selectwd in EWA config?
btw2 - For those wanting to copy the Saved searches across, it's web-saved-searches.xml in GBPVR.

There is no Genre at this stage. It may make a return in a future release.

I'm still having issues with WebAdmin, for NPVR, for REMOTE login.

I've never had an issue with GBPVR, and have ports 7647 and 8866 forwarded in the Router, and Windows Firewall exceptions for both.

GBPVR
http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/login.aspx WORKS INSIDE NETWORK
http://mydysndnsip:7647 NO GOOD
http://mydysndnsip:7647/login.aspx NO GOOD
http://mydysndnsip:7647/gbpvr/login.aspx ONLY ONE THAT WORKS OUTSIDE MY NETWORK

NPVR
http://localhost:8866/npvr/login.aspx WORKS INSIDE NETWORK
http://mydysndnsip:8866 NO GOOD
http://mydysndnsip:8866/npvr/login.aspx ALSO NO GOOD

Is there anything you can see from what works above, and what doesn't, which would help identify the issue?

Ta!

For gbpvr you need the gpbvr context...... http://machine:7647/gbpvr/ for npvr you do not need the context http://machine:8866/

The login is heavily logged so you can review the login n the log to see what may be occuring

There seem to be a few errors of various kinds in there, am I missing some components?

In any case as above local logins seem OK, using both localhost:8866 and myip:8866 from within my network but I just get a server timeout when I use myip:8866 from outside my network. Even tried with firewall disabled, but don't think it is that as it seem to get the redirect from my dyndns IP.

Anything you can see there? As above GBPVR - no problem. If you have a set of Webadmin files maybe I should drag and drop replace them?

What I am seeing is that port 8866 on your router and or you pc is not open.

I did a ping on your public dns to get your current IP.
Used: http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ to check port 8866

It shows not open.

Checking port 7647 shows it is open.......and I can bring up the EWA login page.

Wow, you're right., I turned on incoming allowed connections and it logs 7647 and 7648 I use for GBPVR and some others. I do have 8866 portforwarded but it doesn't seem to get TO the router. I wonder if the ISP blocks ports above 8000?
