I'm still kicking (semi) old school & running PVRX2, so I'll understand if you don't want to spend to much time looking into this, but hopefully something this is something that may have an answer off the top of your head:

We just replaced our bedroom set with an HD we had been using downstairs (which in turn was replaced with a newer set) set & thus switched the PCH from NTSC via composite to 1080p via component.

In a nutshell, the PCH A100 downstairs with the new set (1080p via HDMI) works fine, but the upstairs set (1080p via component) shows the menus in what looks like 720x480 in the upper left corner & neither the menus nor skipping work during playback. Unfortunately, due to the relocation, I had to switch to using a wireless bridge setup to connect the PCH, so that may also be in the mix (I can't really move it back to see if the wireless is the problem - if I find a really long patch cable, I'll give it a shot though if you think that may be the issue).

I've included my config.xml & starmeup, but I thought everything was correct. I never had issues with component hookup before when it was downstairs...

Again, if you can't spend much time on older software (w/ NPVR being out and all), I understand, but any ideas are welcome. I just upgraded to mvpmcx2 version o (was running m) but the problem persists.

I may be wrong, but I tend to see things happening like this when I have the MAC address wrong in config.xml MVP section.
Have you tweaked that bit ?? (I don't see a config.xml in the zip Wink

If you are using a wireless bridge (which I don't recommend anyway wireless=very bad for HD) the MAC address will probably not be your PCH's MAC. Run the NMT Syntax Check and enter the IP of your PCH and it will show you the MAC. Your GBPVR logs would might show the MAC but with 2 devices the syntax check is easier.

I don't mind solving GBPVR connectivity problems, it is usability that I am not worrying about anymore.

I hadn't thought about that - my config.xml (which I did forget to attach) is still referencing the PCH's MAC. I'll switch to the AP client's MAC in its place & see how that goes.

Thanks to both of you.

Houston, we are go.

Thanks guys - should have been obvious, but I have to get out of the habit of looking for zebras.

BTW - playback is fine using 2 wireless N access points as a bridge. Guess it's a ymmv thing. If it becomes an issue, I'll have to break out the fish tape Smile

Thanks again!
