Hello,

there are a few problems with the version, i think some are because of the changes by the Patch 4.

1. Since initial version DVB-s channel-scan finishes with an error, the prog hangs completely and needs to be restartet; the channels are written into the db3 although (Logs in my last post)

2. Where in the nPVR.db3 are the DVB-s frequencies coded? i just found tuning but there is no frequency inside; this leads to problem 3;

3. three channels on one transponder are missing since sunday (the day i installed Patch 4, 12545/H/22000/SID:17500-17502 Astra 19.2°). The system delivers these channels because on the other computer and on my tv the channels are where they are supposed to be. NPVR just shows blank in Live TV and does not actualize the EPG. Manual Recordings lead to 7MB/45mins, not playable so i think the channel is missing anyway

4. A Proposal for manual recording:
If i want to start new manual recordings, it is very uncomfortable to change starting time; when the broadcast starts at 9.30 p.m. and it is 07.30 a.m. i need to go through more than 60 click forwards each 10mins. In GB PVR i was able to enter "21" and it took this starting time, maybe you can change it when there ist some time.

5. Another proposal:
Maybe it is possible to put in a fast switch (daily, like Combo Box oder just one day ahaed) in TVGuide
Background: if i program broadcasts i sometimes do in between somethin else, after a few minutes npvr starts at the actual day at the actual time; if it is thursday and i want to program sunday i need to go e few minutes just forwards to reach sunday broadcasts; i choice to go directly to another day would speed this up enormously

In general: Very Big thanks for developing nPVR further, i think you're on a great way, the software mostly works quite well!

Best Regards

Did you have Patch 3 before? Or were you working with an unpatched version when it worked?

I've attached Patch 3 here. I'm going to be out for a few hours, but let me know if you need a different one and I'll try to find it.

They stored in the CHANNEL_MAPPING table, in the 'tuning' column.

Do you mean the channels arent found in the scan, or they were found but they're blank in the EPG? You seem to be saying both of things.

The system found all the channels in Aug 2010, so they can be found in the database and they worked very well until weekend/sunday;

Now the EPG for these three channels is empty an Live TV is black blank.

complete new scan: nPVR crashes as described above, see Logs "ScanCrash"

Maybe its helpful to know, that i use a Pinnalce PC TV Dual TwinTuner

Regarding #5 from the first post. Skip fwd/back on your remote control should jump around the TV guide a day at a time

Thanks for the hint, i just use a keyboard via vnc while programming the captures, there is no remote control.
At the moment i use npvr as PVR only.

ShiningDragon told me: CtrlLeft + Cursor => it works: great!

TommySZB's machine dropped 2 planned recordings. As i could see within the recording logfiles, the tuner were busy with getting epg data. And there's another thing: his tv card has 2 tuners, he told me, that he has 2 tuners in the database, but i see in all logs just one tuner in use.
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

If it just all of sudden happened, with no changes at your end, then the broadcaster has likely moved the channels to different frequency or something similar. It happens some time.

I cant see any sign of error in those logs. What does the message on the screen say?

The DVB-EPG does have some know problems around this. Its on my list to fix, but for now just be defensive - its best to do your EPG updates at a time when no recordings are happening.
