Yeah, I had made a couple of small changes earlier. I'm not 100% sure it'll fix the problem, but hopefully.

by the way, any idea why I get these errors in the NRecord.log many times after I shut it down and apply patches? Problems ensue of course if I don't notice and leave it running this way; restarting the service again doesn't help, I have to reboot when it gets like this. I have checked, there is no instance of NextPVR.exe or NRecord.exe showing in the task manager, and the previous instance of NRecord claims to have shut down cleanly prior to installing the patches.

It looks like you've still got something running when you run the patch, or are starting things in the wrong order after installing the patch - should restart the recording service before starting the front end.

I know that's what it looks like, but that's definitely not the case. I exit NextPVR, shutdown the recording service and NTray, and copy in the patched files. After that when I attempt to restart the recording service (using the "Start NPVR Service" icon you provide), that's when the error frequently occurs. Not every time, but often. I've double-checked in the task manager, and nothing NPVR related is running. It's like Windows is still holding the socket open for the prior instance of NRecord, even though NRecord has shut down. That shouldn't happen, but lots of things shouldn't happen that do.

It's no big deal, I just restart the whole system when it happens, but I thought I'd ask since it happened again tonight when I put in the new patch from this thread.
