No, they are not on the same frequency. They drop into the wrong station completely. In the example above the NBC affiliate has his programming info falling into two other stations, one PBS and one Fox, who are on different frequencies. One is getting some of the main channel stuff, another is getting info on the third weather channel. I can't spot any rhyme or reason to it (although one will likely become obvious once the issue is understood).

Might even be some settings that I could make to help, as there are things that I don't understand in the channel list such as the number assigned to each channel, but I have just left then as the scan created them.

I'll be glad to provide any details that I can, screen shots, logs, or whatever is needed.

If you can do an 'empty epg' then and 'update epg' then post the npvr.log, I'll take a look.

I've just done those two things and saw the problem was still there. By post the log do you really want me to copy a log file into this thread, or would you like me to e-mail it or upload it somewhere. Also, I have never cleared the log, should I clear it and do the empty/update again, or is the entire log what you want?

You can attach files to your post from the "Go Advanced" button. A new log file is created on each run of NPVR, so just start NPVR, reproduce the problem and then zip and attach the log file sub named.

Some info under the NPVR LOGS heading here.

zip and attach it. Click the 'go advanced' button when replying, and click the paperclip icon to attach it.

OK, have a zip file for you, hopefully will be attached. Found the log was in a few parts, included them all. Also threw in 2 screen shots that show the problem. You should be able to see that there is no epg info for the NBC17 stations in their own slots, but things like Weather17 and Ellen ended up on other stations.

Those logs dont show your attempted 'update epg' so try again, and repost the log. You need to post it immediately after doing it. If you restart the app, the log will be overwritten.

Also, I can see you dont have the required DirectX runtime, so its falling back to software renderering the UI. (ie, higher CPU and poor animations)

Mark, did you have the device disconnected at the time? It wasnt able to find the device associated with the EPG for these channels:

Quote:2011-01-28 12:15:30.593 [DEBUG][5] FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: BDA 2883 TVTuner

no, the device was connected, but as the logs were sizable let me do this, I'll completely restart XP (with the usb tuner attached), restart the GUI, dump and reload the over the air EPG, and then send the new log.
