Blank screen

Is there a way to avoid this screen on the PC? I get at video playback sometime on LiveTV with ATSC? I do get audio and after a quick rewind it is fine.

is it mepeg2 that your playing change from libavcodec to libmpeg2

Thanks it looked promising because the problem did go away but it ended with NextPVR crashing twice in limited testing.

what are you settings under overlay

EVR. It's not a real problem and it is only with HD LiveTV which I mainly do from the PCH anyway, I thought there might be a way to add a little bit more buffering.

Sorry, I just use the default, I have for years with no problem other than this and it has always been YV12.adj whatever that means. The problem seems to only happen if the server is busy, which is why I think it is more a buffering issue.

There is no buffering, so not really possible to add more buffering. ie, when you start live tv (or change channels) the data is going straight from the capture device, to demux, to audio/video decoders, to renderers. When press pause, or skip, it switches to playing the file instead of showing the live stream.

I've not seen other reports of the problem though, so I dont think this is widespread. If it goes away with other decoders or other decoder options, then it just sounds like some decoder bug.
