Thanks for the above. The links aren't accessible at the mo but I'll keep an eye out for it. Turns out that it was something to do with windows sodding update. It was moaning about some large updates that were needed so I let it install them and reboot and now it sleeps fine again... Who knows what I'll have broken after letting those updates install though!!
