EPG update not complete - no guide data after 3 days

Even though the xmltv file has data through 13Feb, the data stops filling in the Guide at 03Feb 1600, leaving only (no show details). I don't see anything obvious in the log. I thought that there might have been some recording conflicts and tried eliminating those, but that didn't help. Attached is the last log after the last NPVR restart and EPG update attempt. Any ideas??

You forgot that log.

Hit the 'update epg' button, wait for it to complete, then zip and attach the npvr.log file and I'll take a look.

Sorry... forgot to hit save upload. I've also been having problems today with NPVR locking up and WIN7 giving an error flag to close the program. I though that it was just because I was trying the TV Listing plugin when I was troubleshooting the other problem, but I disabled that plugin and put back the normal Guide, and it crashed again. Everything had been working fine and I hadn't made any changes, but I was setting recordings for the week, then found out that the Guide stopped on Thursday.

According to the log, 'C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\EPG\xmltv.xml' either has no listings, or at least no listings mapped to channels in that xmltv file.

You'd have to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs.

If you go into the channels tab, you will likely find that the names of your channels have changed somehow, probably the channel number at the beginning of the channel name. Re-map your channels, and you'll be good to go.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\EPG\xmltv.xml" is in a UAC protected folder, you might have an older copy in your virtual store. It probably is better to choose a safer location for that file.

you're right martin, that's a bad place for the EPG update files, but I think that since NRecord runs the EPG update routine as the same user NRecord itself runs (most likely Local System), UAC isn't going to be the issue here. Still a bad place though.

If you update from inside NextPVR using the menus or using a command line manually like I do, it would use the Virtual Store first. Some people run the recording service as a named user to access shares too.

definitely true martin. qualsite should move his EPG update out of Program Files, and also re-check the mappings.

Ok this thread has confused me, but seem to suffer from this issue

I'll start by what i have done in hopes someone can expain what i should be doing.

I setup my capure sources and mapped channels using my XML file, i then changed the channel names. Everything seemed to be working, but i noticed last night i only has 4 days of listings. This XML file has until the 15th so i am missing days.

Does the XML file channel names have to match the names i changed them to in NPVR. The numbers never changed.

What have i done wrong, i havent tried to mannually update the epg yet in NPVR, but just noticed the UpdateEPG.bat process did not seem to reload the epg data.
