I installed 0.92.8 tonight and seems to work ok except: when trying to use live tv, I get an error message - "debug assertion failed!" with some addition dialogue. If I follow the instructions and keep retrying, the dialog box goes away but I cannot change channels with the up and down keys as I used to in the previous version.

You've probably set up you capture source incorrectly. You've given so little information that I'm not even going to take a guess. It could be anything.

I'm new at this so please accept my apology for not providing any info. My setup is:
os: win2k
mem: 1G
video card: nvidia GeForce 3 Ti 200
Hauppauge pvr 150
Hauppauge pvr 150 MCE

I reverted to previous install where everything worked perfectly and then tried re-installing new version over the old. I double checked all config info to see if it was the same as previous working version and it was ok. As I said I get attached error messages when I try to use live TV. Also, I have and MVP and now live TV picture there stutters and it did not do that before. I also re-installed the MDAC and dotnet files. I hope I have given you enough to go on.

Sorry to not get back sooner. This is the first chance I have had. As I said, I'm new at this so I don't know which log files to send to you. I looked in the GBPVR folder in program files and there a quite few log files and I don't know which you need.

Best to send all logs. Also include a link back to this thread so I know what your logs are for.

I had that same problem and many others. Try selecting Overlay Manager instead of VMR9 or VMR7 in the Playback tab of config and that might help.
Now if I could get better video and audio quality I would be set.

I'll give the overlay a try. I sent my logs to Sub and he couldn't find anything unusal, so for now I'm staying with previous version until I get a chance to try the overlay.
Thanks.
