Fan Art in the Video Library

Could you flesh this out a little more? I had fan art with GB-PVR (mostly backgrounds). It is in the format: moviename-fanart.jpg

There are a bunch of batch file-renamers out there, so no worries if the filename format changed.

At the moment it just looks for a folder based fanart, so fanart.jpg in the current Video Library directory. There was a few metadata utilities like 'Ember Media Manager' that download files with that name.

I experimented with fan art for individual files, but found them too slow to load.

Oh, I see. If you could, consider working those back in? It was perfectly fine for me in GB-PVR having individual fanart for each movie file as long as you choose your fan art carefully (not to big in file size.)

The current way does work for me for TV series or movies that I have sequels that I group together from my ripped DVD collection. Single backgrounds there as you have it are PERFECT.

scb147 and I have been working on the Videos+ plugin (details in my sig) that will probably give you everything you want eventually. But it'll be a while yet before it's ready, because we've both been too busy to work on it recently...
