Yes. Under these circumstances, closing and restarting NPVR displays it in red.

When I then do an Update EPG from Settings ... Channels, and close the Settings dialog, the display reverts to now, and scrolling right has The Universe no longer in red.

Hard for you to test! Anything I can do to help?

Doing an Empty EPG and then Update EPG has the same effect (i.e. The Universe is no longer highlighted).

ok but if you cancel the recording from pending or reocurring then re-add it does it stay coloured then
i Still think whats happening is your epg data is changing from when nextpvr first added the recording
so now you have the new data showing over top

OK. I tried this, but no, the deleted/re-added show still does not display in red. And why would it re-display in red when I restart NPVR?
This happens a lot. On most days, there are one or more shows that exhibit the problem.
It may well be (actually, it probably is true) that the local EPG is irregular, with strange data, but if its the data or database contents, why does it go away with a restart?

Am I the only person with this problem? Or is it a little more general - Queensland or Australia-wide?

So, can someone tell me what identifies a show in the EPG?
That is, what makes a show unique? Its not the name and start/end times, so what is it?

I suspect most users do their EPG updates via scheduling and not manually through the config which is when this problem occurs.

I havnt been too worried about finding the cause of this, because it's a fairly minor cosmetic issue. The recording is still listed in the Recordings screen, and will still happen, and if the user had restarted the app then it would have been correctly highlighted. I'm pretty sure it would have shown the correct highlight if the user had left the app running for a couple more hours (at which time the recording would list have been reloaded anyway).

The attached patch should fix the problem though.

Sure. But this just means the problem re-appears the next day, if I leave NPVR running.

Looks like it. Many thanks, sub. This has been irking me for a while now!
