I know the best option is to fork out $95 for VideoRedo H264 Edition but I am cheap by nature.
Is there any freeware alternative for removing adverts and padding on the few programs that are "keepers"?
Its not size that's the problem just convenience during playback - that dreaded WAF again Big Grin
Comskip not really an option in the UK with our seamless ad breaks
It's not an overly complicated system - it's more - overly simple operatives  Huh

I don't use it much, and just from getting rid of the padding, but H264TS_Cutter http://www.videohelp.com/tools/H264TS_Cutter seems to work well. I am also working on a little program that resets the Timing.Info for accurate NPVR skipping after the cuts.

The TSDoctor can do cutting and more, but it does cost a few bucks, 29 Euros. You cat get a 30 day free trial here http://www.cypheros.de/tsdoctor_e.html

Not exactly freeware, but VideoRedo 4 is nominal in price and has H.264 support.

There's TSSniper which I don't think has been updated in awhile.
But, I have been using VideoReDo and think it's worth the money plus they are very helpful in their forums with any problems and update it regularly.
