What does your AnalogDevices.xml section currently look like? Those logs look like they were set for soft encoding?

shoot - it probably is - i was throwing darts earlier, and probably switched it over - will switch back to hard, relaunch to generate logs, and send them...

This change wont fix anything, but it adds some more logging. Reproduce the problem and repost the log.

Hmm, you dont seem to have applied that patch correctly. It's missing messages I added. Also, the nrecord.log covers a few hours, when I only posted the patch a few minutes ago, so you cant have replaced the file and restarted the recording service

uncompressed size = 703K vs. 702K for prior "unmanaged", and is present in NPVR folder... should i try and cancel all and restart?

i just recompressed the one from the c:\program files\npvr\ folder and have attached it...
