I'm using N-PVR 2.0.3 on XP in full screen on a 1080 TV.
When I pause, the programme title and summary info are displayed on the bottom quarter of the screen for exactly 2 minutes. I would like a way to return to the full paused picture without waiting for the 2 minutes to expire.
I can't find a keyboard or remote control short-cut to do it, and I can't find a variable in the config file to reduce the default time this info stays on the screen.

I'm currently using a Windows Media Center remote which doesn't have a blue button, but I do have a Hauppauge remote which does have a blue button which I will need to figure out how to make work.
Presumably, there should be a keyboard equivalent of the blue button.

I've made the OSD timeouts configurable in config.xml for the next release. I've also made the Blue key (Ctrl-B) able to toggle the OSD off if it's visible.

OK, found the equiv of Blue in the KeyMappings.xml is {ALT}B, and that works, but with a 4 second delay.
So next I mapped an unused key on the WMC remote (the enter key at the bottom) to mean "Blue" by adding a line to KeyMappings.xml:
<Key code="Return" command="Blue"/>
above the existing "Blue" command.
Now, the enter or OK keys on the WMC remote will clear the info display during pause, and luckily, the keys still work as OK to select items from menus.

I don't know why there is still a 4 second delay, but I can live with that. Thanks stustunz.

I've just installed NPVR 2.1.4.
Can you tell me the name of the variable in the config which controls this.

In the <General> section of config.xml, you can control the timeout milliseconds by setting <OSDTimeoutStatus> <OSDTimeoutTimeline> and <OSDTimeoutInfo>. The default for all of these is 4000.

They weren't in mine (or the config master). I've added them with values of 2000, 4000 and 1000.
The info now stays on screen for 10 seconds after the playback is paused, I expected 1 second for 1000.
I tried 1 for OSDTimeoutInfo, but it still stayed for 10 seconds.

Sorry, I forgot to mention there is another one called <OSDTimeoutInfoOnPause> with a default of 10000.
