He said $6 for shipping to sweden, I can take that. Now, I just wish I had some guarantee lirc's config files for sagem DVB-C remotes works with my box. There are two versions out there, and the config file doesn't state which version it's for...

stefan Wrote:Thank's for the tip. I can find it here, but for US$53. Plus shipping an handling. Plus $19 for Girder. To me, $12 for the irblaster sounds better ;-) It sure does. Fortunately for me, I already had Girder from another project some time ago, so my only expense was for the MCE2005 kit (plus around $4.00 s&h) Cheers Art

Ok, here is another one. Don't know how to get it to work with gbpvr, though :-)

Hi, I'm following this tread closely, because I also need a cheap IR-blaster. Did any of you manage to get it working inside GBPVR??
Thanks Steen

A cheap IR Blaster worth considering is the Jeteye PC ESI-9680 irda infrared serial port adapter IR. There are lots available on ebay. It works in GBPVR see thread.

Thanks for your suggestion. I just have a few questions: This Jeteye device, I understand that it is ment for IrDA connection, but will it accept IR signals from an ordinary remote also, or do you have to buy an IR-reciever also and then use the Jeteye only for transmitting IR signals to the sat-box?
Thanks Steen

I have only used my jeteye to send IR commands to my satellite box. I use the Hauppguage PVR250 IR receiver for accepting commands within GBPVR. Maybe someone else has used it or a similar device for both transmit & receive? |
