I switched around the card numbers and the input numbers (Capture device 1 using Svideo 2 and capture device 2 using Svideo 1) in NPVR and I get the same result. One device works fine and the other gives a blue screen and no sound. I did it by cleaning out all of the channels for each input and re-importing them with the switched Svideo.
I also verified in Windows Media Center that both analog portions of the HVR2250 card are working and connected properly (I recorded two analogs at the same time).
It must be how the cards/inputs are labled as Snooze suggested.
