Thanks for jumping in sub,

Yes, it's a BlastCFG problem - I certainly did not mean to imply that it was an NPVR issue.

As discussed previously, it was precisely as you describe, it was that during the 'learn' process in BlastCFG - it was an error due to toggle bit recognition (or not) that was the stumbling point - couldn't get past that point, so no 'learning' could take place.

Thanks,

What is the model number of your 2250? The 01213 is designed for and includes a remote and blaster, the 01229 does not support a remote or a blaster.

Thanks fore adding that - hadn't been thinking in that direction.

Do you have knowledge any specific products that are known to work?

Thanks very much,

Google for the USBUIRT, as far as I know there is only one. It works well with HIP and some other interface apps.

I'll attempt to ask the BlastCFG guy at Hauppauge.

TomH, what driver version are you using? Set top box is a Motorola DCT2224?

My kit is the one with the remote and blasters. It is definately a blastcfg problem. I tried the one from an my machine with the 1600s on it and it just over wrote it. it.

The Hauppauge guy said he'd also need to know the version of IRBlaster and IR32.

I wonder if this has something to do with it? I found this when I was looking for a solution to another remedy I was looking for myself. They were speaking about blasting problems on sagetv website with Win7 and a 2250. Also, if you are using the second blaster/input thingy that plugs into the board, each board needs a IR blaster. Look on sagetv for more ifo, it was talked about there.

Look for this hcwcirconfig_tool_1.2.28165.exe here http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/su...r2250.html Go to the accessories tab, go to the very bottom

"Windows Media Center remote control receiver/blaster configuration utility"
Use this utility to enable or disable the built-in IR receiver/blaster hardware on the WinTV-HVR-1850 and WinTV-HVR-2250 for use with Windows Media Center. http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/....28165.exe

I'm fighting the same problem. I updated from xp to Win 7 and my blaster will not work. I have the usb "beanbag" and hauppauge cards, none will send. I've tried the hauppauge software, hip and mceblast but none will send to the blaster. On Xp I used the mceblast with the "beanbag" with npvr.

Here's my latest on my system.

I have the HVR-2250 installed and it works great in Windows Media Center (analog and QAM). I can't get the remote blasters set up so that I can use them with NVPR (I also couldn't get my USBUIRT working, it works in command line but not with NPVR). Since the Hauppauge blasters weren't working in NPVR or WinTV, I uninstalled WinTV. I then added an old QAM HVR-1600 and added a third blaster to it. I then reinstalled WinTV and blastcfg came up using the 1600 and I could set up my Motorolla set top box.

I stuck this new blaster next to the one I can use with WMC and it works. I now have 3 QAMs and one analog set up in NPVR. If I am desperate and need the second analog card then I can use WMC for that one.

The goal here was to record in .ts and not .wtv.

I have had the exact same problem for the last 2 years now. Works fine in WMC, but cannot get it to work in WinTV or NVPR. I wish their was away to import/use the WMC blaster configuration for NVPR. The Blastcfg says it learns, but WinTV7 is unable to get the DTA to change channel. I keep trying with every new release by nothing and I cannot use HIP with a 64Bit system. I'v tried enabling and disabling it for WMC. Can anyone start a poll to see how many users cannot get the 2250 to work with winTV7, but is OK in WMC?
