With PVRx2, where I don't have any LiveTV sync issues, it doesn't put HE-AAC decoders on LiveTV (I only have ac3 and mp2). I have found if I disable HE-AAC or if I use the Divx HE-AAC decoder and not MONOGRAM on NPVR I also don't have any LiveTV sync issues.

I don't use Monogram anymore on any of my npvr installations, I'v switched them all to DivX-HEAAC decoder.

I'll try the Divx decoder and see if it helps me as well..

Is there a difference between live TV from the tuner and playing a recorded TS file from the Hdd ?? My problem is definitely much worse with recordings.

Also, how do I set the default audio stream per channel?? I would like TV3 to be AC3 since I have it attached to an amp.

There is a setting in Config.xml, PreferAC3(something), but I seem to remember that it had unfortunate sideeffects. It was discussed in this forum a while ago.

Nothing significant. The data can arrive a bit more bursty from some devices though when in live tv. For the most part it's the same.

So you expect the TS file to play "better" than from the tuner direct??

Any reason then I should see a non existent to slight lip sync from live TV, then seconds different from TS??

Sorry, I dont know. I've never had any problems with lip sync except when I've got the audio renderer set to something other than 'system default'.

I've had lip sync problems with Live TV sometimes but I now know why.
When I "use" the CPU too much, like up to 90% or such the sync seem to drift.
Sometime it just needs to lower the CPU usage and sometimes I need to restart the Live TV watching to get it normal again.

Maybe this has nothing to do with your problem but I thought I might tell anyways.

+1. On my wimpy Atom system, with no DXVA, playing MPEG2 HDTV, with CPU usage >30%, A/V is not sync'ed.
