toslink with HDPVR

How do you configure the HDPVR to use the toslink digital connection for the recording the audio? As I recall with GBPVR, there was a AnalogHD.ini file that you could adjust which audio input you wanted to use. I don't see any such file with NPVR and the device setup dialog does not seem to give an option for which audio input to use.

To be honest, I cant remember. I'm pretty sure there was a way to do this, but I'm away from my development for the next couple of weeks, so cant check right now.

During earlier testing I could not figure out how to configure the front inputs separately from the rear and nothing seems to be the stored in the tuning field to do make this distinction. I do use the digital input though and all I have done is set this as the defaults with the TME software.

You have to use the software which came with the HDPVR I think. TME or whatever it was called.

I use toslink, and I recall I used the software to set it to dolby digital input.

Thanks everyone. Changing the audio input using the TME changed the input for NPVR too. I assume the HDPVR will remember these settings even after it gets powered down.

I can confirm it does, even if power is lost at the wall outlet (I have one of those energy saver power strips so my HD-PVR powers off when my CPU does.)

Does anyone get lip-sync issues when recording from the toslink input? Now that I have switched from the analog inputs to the toslink, I seem to have minor lip sync issue. It is nice getting the dolby digital 5.1 sound, but lip sync issues bug the me to no end.

In Live TV on the PC I usually have to do a quick rewind to get them sync'ed, but in Recordings and from the PCH I don't have any issues.
