Unable to communicate with recording service

All of a sudden NextPVR will not access Live TV, nor record. I receive error message as above.

Log attached. Can someone plese expalin what iso wrong as I cannot understand the log.

Card is OK as works in windows media centre.

It looks like you have some broken channels in your database (invalid or missing tuning xml). You might need to identify which channels have this problem then delete and recreate them.

I've not heard of anyone else with this problem, so I'm not sure how this could have happened.

In an attempt to correct this I deleted all channels, then was unable to rescan. I uninstalled and reistalled, but am still unable to scan. There may be a connection with Grahams problem as the same card is involved, but until recently mine was working fine and had been for some months.

Your problem is occurring because your machine is missing the Window's "MPEG-2 Demultiplexer" filter.

You might have had some badly behaved program deregister it. Maybe try "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\mpg2splt.ax"

Thanks Sub. All is now working OK, although how that became unregistered in the first place is a bit of a mystery as the only newish thing is Firefox 4 which was working a few days before next pvr went wrong.

I need some similar help. No idea what is going on. I was able to set NextPVR up on 2 other computers (all windows 10 with HDHomerun using a cablecard) no problem, but this one is killing me. I'm getting the video codec error (tried several different options, nothing works) and sometimes the can't communicate with the recording service error. Any help, GREATLY appreciated.

What exactly is does this video codec error message say?

The current error message is:

"No video? You haven't configured an MPEG-2 video decoder, which is required for this channel. You can fix this on the Settings=>Decoders screen."

Of course I have tried all the available decoders and none work. Tried downloading some of the suggested ones and still won't work.
