Not sure if I have the terminology right but I am trying to record more than one digital channel for each digital tuner card. I found a reference in the GB-PVR documentation and a couple of posts from johnsonx42 that seem to confirm my thoughts but I can't see how to do it in NPVR.

I have 3x digital terrestrial tuner cards in my system (Australian free to air exclusively) but I am finding that we are recording more than three programs at one time or that recordings overlap (and because stations do not start or finish on time we miss parts of the show).

How can I set up NPVR to record more than one channel per tuner card?

TIA

With unencrypted channels you don't have to do anything, if the channels are on the same transponder (frequency) npvr will automatic use multirecord.

OK, thanks for that. If I have 3x Winfast DTV cards I should be able to record (all??) the channels for each of three separate frequencies?

In the Hunter Valley NSW Australia I have 4 ABC channels on 592500, both 2xSBS and 3xSeven channels on 704500 and 3xNBN channels on 585500. I'm going to test what happens when I try to record all 12 channels. Could be interesting!

If you have 3 mux and 3 cards you should deselect the 2 other mux channels for each cards

So say Channel 7 stations on one card, SBS channels on another etc. Then each card is only used for that mux and all padding is honored. 'LIVE TV' can still use a card that is recording as well.

No need for that, it will only make things more complicated.

Kool! I successfully recorded 10 channels simultaneously!

So, all I need is two more tuners and I can record every channel on every station without chopping off the end of the program. I'm excited!

I don't have any more PCI slots - is there a good external twin tuner that I can plug in?

There's a lot of USB-based dvb-t tuners on the marked, but I would suggest Cinergy HTC XS usb.
