No sound for French DVB-T H264 channels with E-AC3 tracks

Hi !

I'm a happy longtime user of GBPVR 1.4.7. in France.

Since I can receive french DVB-T HD channels with H264 video and E-AC3 audio tracks, it's impossible for me to have sound when I watch these channels in live preview mode or in timeshift mode. Recordings from these channels don't have sound too when I play them.

My GBPVR is installed on a Windows XP PC.

I put the latest log PVRX2.exe-native. If someone can help me or explain why the audio tracks can't be played ?...

I dont remember whether GBPVR was fully working with E-AC3. I know the newer NPVR works with E-AC3 though. To double check I just played a French .TS file with E-AC3, and correctly got audio.

I know that NPVR is fully compatible with E-AC3 (I've done the test), but I'm not ready right now to use it at home and leave GBPVR. I'll miss 2 or 3 things from GBPVR if I use NPVR instead, like live TV preview mode...

Can you tell me if the french file you've played was on GBPVR or NPVR ? If you have sound from an E-AC3 track with the good old program, maybe I've a chance to find a way to make it works at my home too !...

Just to be clear, NPVR's live tv is watching in live preview mode until you hit pause, so you still get the benefit of quick channel changes etc.

Maybe it s time for a change...

Tomorow, i Will take another look to npvr, and maybe The rest of my family Will adopt it... And say good bye to gbpvr...

You might want to wait another week until the next release. Save you having to go through it twice.
