That web server configuration isn't for NEWA, that is enabling the web server for the NMT.

I think it was originally only for the web interface since it allowed the setting of the id/pwd. I am guessing with the need for the web server for NMT this on/off option really does not apply anymore.

I've just installed NPVR 2.1.4, and now can't login to NEWA. The user label is missing, and I can't enter anything into the user or password fields. Screen print attached.

What happens when you click on login button. What version of Firefox are you using?

UJB I have seen this on both Firefox 4 and now with current 5.0 ans also with Chrome, accessing the config screen. For me there is no cursor and values aren't displayed as you type but you can still get it if you type both correctly. On an unsuccessful login the data in the username field is shown.

I have FF 5 and Chrome 13 and am not seeing this behavior (both the label getting cut off as well as the no cursor and values not being displayed as you type that you reported). What theme are you using?

Default. To check I just logged in on the home LAN from this linux laptop and it has the same problem on an older FF 3

Switch the theme to Blue or Blue Rounded and see if you have the same issue and let me know.

From this laptop I changed it to Blue, but the password page was still the same look and feel with the same problem. Instead of showing characters, it seems to be validating against the list box of bad userids I type not seeing them.

Give this a try.....CSS issue I believe causing the missing as you type....

Nothing happens if I press the login button.
I'm using Firefox 5.0.
If I enter my user and password, without them being displayed, I can then login successfully.
Where are these "themes"? I can't see any coice in the NEWA config or Firefox.
If I zoom out (ctrl and -) I can see the text "User Name:", but then the TV Guide text is too small.
If I change Firefox by un-ticking "allow pages to choose their own colours" I can then see my typing (but then all the pages are white backgrounds).
It seems as if the page is selecting white text on a white background.
