Screen Saver or something cool like that

I listen to a lot of music through gb-pvr, and sometimes i just run a slideshow of my pics, just to keep things off the menus. What about a cool screen saver that could run and make my tv look cool when i'm listening to music

it shouldnt be that hard to do, kingargyles bleepbloop could be modified to turn on windows screen saver, but for a general screen saver from within gbpvr, sub would have to do it. but it shouldnt be that hard for him to do, just time how long it has been since a user has pushed a button, and video is not playing back, then just draw a black image over the menu. it would be cool if you could have a dim screen saver (err like 80% black, so you can just make out what is going on underneath).

sub i know this is on your to do list, but could you possible try and move this up nearer the top of the list (if its more complicated than i think, then well take your time, but if its not, would be nice is all).

oh and a black screensaver is all that is needed, fancy ones can wait, just dont want to stuff up my tv

As a workaround, set up the My Programs plugin.
Make a shortcut to your screensaver.scr file.
Start it manually.
Another workaround, set up a custom task to your screensaver.scr file in config.

Note: I didn't test these, but one of the two, or both, may work.

I do something similar at the moment where I launch an external application. (iTunes) When in this mode the windows XP 'slideshow' screen saver is enabled.

This is so simple and takes all of 3 minutes to set up.

Ultimatley I would like a more 'integrated' solution. (Reven this is why I was asking about lauching external screen savers from within GBPVR) But this works for now.

Having pictures randomly cycle while random music plays from you favorite playlist is a temendous joy. This runs almost continiously during the weekends and puts a smile on all faces. :o
