You should see sticky threads in the Support forum for why your analog tuners arent showing up.

Basically, you need to have the "MainConcept (HCW) MPEG Multiplexer-Plus" directshow filter on your machine before it'll even look for analog tuners. For soft encoder devices it also needs "MainConcept (HCW) MPEG-2 Video Encoder" and "MainConcept (HCW) Layer II Audio Encoder" for encoding the video and audio. All these MainConcept components are installed by the Hauppauge WinTV7 software, so that is the easiest way to get them on your machine. Some others have got these components from elsewhere though.

Your 'Advantek Networks PCI ATAC Hybrid TV Tuner' isnt a device I've heard of before, so it may need an entry added to AnalogDevices.xml

Thanks all,

keep them coming. I have failed to keep the list updated at the top of the thread so it is not always easy to see which cards have been mentioned before. Doesn't matter, just put them down anyway. Soon I hope to start a wiki page with devices reported as working.

cheers

Thanks tech_meister

I have a suspicion that you will get this card working.

But I could be wrong. Often I am.

It would be interesting to also know why you have found it best to put your post here.

I am not sure of the status of what cards are working at the moment with NextPVR in fact if it is not a Hauppauge card then your luck may well not be in. There really has not been much support from sub on this as he is currently honing what NextPVR actually does in finite detail. But it may be be worth posting (with logs) on the general NextPVR support thread.

another capture card supported is one more on the list.

http://forums.gbpvr.com/forumdisplay.php...VR-Support

post a thread there for support on your card and see what happens Wink

cheers

Thanks Nistrod,

I will be updating the list soon, and probably shift this somehow to the documentation thread Big Grin

To confuse things a bit using my NetworkRecorder plugin http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...rkRecorder NPVR will support

1. any tuner supported by Windows Media Center using SageMCETuner
2. firewire tuners using SageGraphRecord
3. any card which can be controlled with a DirectShow graph and external tuner using SageGraphRecord
4. DRI tuners using SageDCT
5. Dreambox
6. DVBViewer supported tuners.
