I removed this version because it had a critical recording error. I did not want anyone install 2.1.4. For the most part though, 2.1.4 is identical to 2.1.5, but the latter has the recording bug fixed.
there's also so little difference between 2.1.5 and 2.1.4 that I doubt it would make any difference. as Martin said, better to fix your install problem than trying to band-aid it with a back-rev.

A bit hard to get logs, because whole pc was almost unusable after install. I can say, no any .exe files won't appear in NPVR folder, not wisible try to start recording service during installation.
Uninstall not possible, uninstall.exe missing. Reinstall back to 2.0.3 won't work either after that. System restore was only option to get pc alive. I think, that I don't like to do another try,
because it took 4 hours to get pc work again. I really don't need 2.1.4, only to test, if it is bit different...
Win XPsp3
If you suspect NPVR is causing the problem you could just delete the NPVR Program Files directory, and reboot. If you cannot delete the directory you may have to kill NRecord, NTray or Nextpvr. If the computer is still unstable then try a "Repair" install which will keep any installed software, data and setting. If its a dedicated NPVR computer and there is no data to recover then format the disk and do a clean install. However it is always far better to keep the old disk and reinstall on a spare disk so any data on the old disk can be copied over later.

Unfortunately yes. It start just, when 2.1.5 intallation failed, and all is ok again, when I skipped back one day with system restore. There was no any other new things at this time.
After that, 2.0.3 setup vent fine and works.
