But how do others do it? Do you use the Video library? And how do you keep track of what you have watched and what you haven't. I guess if you follow a show every week it's not so bad, but I'd tend to get a bunch, watch them, get a bunch more, but not actually watch for say 2 months...so I never remember what I'm up to.
Just want to see what others do, and is it just because I have a stupid viewing style, and an appalling memory...
For tracking what I've watched, I haven't found a program that fits my needs/wants completely so I use a self-created Tap Forms database on an iPod Touch and manually add listings by a copy/paste from either tv.msn.com or Wikipedia; not elegant or automatic but it works for now. I'm going to check out the Episode Organizer that mian mentioned; it looks interesting.
You might also check out next-episode.net. Of the online methods I've tried, this one isn't too bad. It gets it's data from TV.com, I believe. Sometimes I find dates incorrect or it just doesn't have a show listed that I watch so it falls a little short there. There is also a mobile app for iPhone/iPod that you can sync with your online account and, I think, an app for Android. Another problem with it, is that there's only one profile attached; no way to track what multiple people have watched (unless this has been implemented lately and I just haven't found out about it). Online is free - the app for iPhone was $2.99. (By the way, I'm not associated with them - not trying to sell you on something ).
I would like to find an easy method to track what multiple people have watched within the PVR itself. I'm just getting started with NextPVR and am presuming this isn't something that can be done at this point.
