2.1.5 TV Guide Navigation Difficult - OK in 2.0.3

Since installing 2.1.5, I thought the navigation buttons on my Harmony remote had gone bad, so I went back to my trusty HP MCE remote and have confirmed the problem is in 2.1.5 (I upgraded from 2.0.3).

Basically, navigating up and down seems fine, but it's often taking several clicks to move right one TV show at a time. Left is taking a few more clicks than it used to, but moving right is a real drag. If I go back to 2.0.3 the problem goes away.

Anyone else?

Just tried a clean NPVR install on another computer and seeing the same problem - any chance of a fix coming for this?

I'm certainly not seeing a problem like that here. for me, one click = move one slot in the guide, either way, just like always. It sounds like you have duplicated program entries in your EPG. Try emptying your EPG and see if it navigates normally with "no show details" filling every slot. Then update the EPG. What EPG source are you using?

That was it! Feel like a dummy now, I should have checked this first. I'm using DVB EPG by the way. Thanks for the help!

OK, I spoke too soon. When I deleted and reloaded EPG, it seemed to solve the problem temporarily, but it's back again. So it seems something funky is going on causing a double-up in my EPG. Wondering what the next step is to diagnosing this? - It's definitely something new in 2.1.5 that wasn't a problem in 2.0.3.

as a first step, post logs. just post all the NPVR and NRecord logs you have. post your database too, if it's small enough once zipped (<2.9mb). beyond that sub will have to say what he needs.

by the way, it looks like sub knows there's a DVB epg issue in 2.1.5: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post415620

also see the fourth post in that thread for a possible solution.

Nicely spotted - this does indeed seem to be the same problem. Thanks for the link Smile

Do you have 'update dvb epg during live tv' turned on? Does turning it off help (after doing and 'empty epg' followed by 'update epg')?

I've been trying to look into this today but have been unable to reproduce it. Can you possibly zip and attach your npvr.db3?
