It hasnt been in beta since the 1.5.x releases.

2.x dropped the 'beta' tag.

Yeh this was on one of the wiki pages set up months ago, good spot by Paul, that reference has gone now Big Grin

Also that page in question has this:

Quote:If you're upgrading from an earlier version, you need to make sure you stop the NextPVR software before installing.
  • Stop the recording service using the shortcut in the Start Menu.
  • Close NextPVR if running.
  • Close the NextPVR Tray icon if running (right click, Exit).
In future releases this will be made automatic, but that's not the case yet.

Now I have to admit I still do this when upgrading by habit. Is that now also not necessary?

cheers

I like the new design and it is much improved with the new order. As a comment I don't think there is really a "Quick Start" to using NPVR as a DVR for people coming to it fist via this web page If you do want to have something like this change the order to get playback working with decoders and folder and then get into tuners, but you still miss the crucial EPG mapping step.

Thanks Martin, good point on the EPG mapping, yes rather crucial. We will look into how this could be better laid out Big Grin

I haven't been around much lately. So I was surprised by this very nice site. I quickly ran it through IE, FF, Opera and Chrome on both XP and W7. The first two browsers seem to render OK. In Opera the right side column does not show from the top. In Chrome one can only see the top part of the main text.

Hi Pieter,

thanks for the input Big Grin

We are aware of the issue with Chrome.

I am not sure we were aware of the Opera one!

What is required is some fixes to the CSS which we hope can happen soon. I'll add the Opera one to it.

Any chance of a screenshot of the Opera display?

cheers

Here is the screen shot. I did a high compression and made a cutout to preserve space. I does not look very good, but will serve the purpose of seeing the position of the right column. Success.
