Sub, what does StreamsAreActive() do. I return true if I have started recording.

It's funny it is not even called in my setup, but in pconstanza's test I see my test debug message logged ever 1/3 of a second.

Its usually only used if you have 'update DVB EPG during live tv' active, so this might be the difference between yours and pcostanza's setups. (even though 'DVB' is mentioned, it applies to the ATSC epg aswell.

Ok, that does explain it, I saw the DVB EPG misconfigured (I think) on one of his QAM channels. It might explain why recordings are working better and live tv is not.
