WDM Recorder using Software Compression

If some decoders are playing up, try VMR7 and Overlay. I know Overlay looks terrible, but I find some decoders require it. VMR7 is my current setting.

If I use VMR7 with InterVideo, there's no change. Keyboard shortcuts seem to work, but no OSD. If I use Overlay, the OSD works, but LiveTV is just a black screen. :confused:

Oh well, I have something that works anyway. Thanks again!

the trick to debuging this is to enable the creation of the lastGraph.grf file (somewhere in the config.xml), then load the graph in graphedit. Then you can see how things are being hooked up, etc.

Hi everyone! I'm new here.
I have a AVerTV 203 tv tuner card and a SB Live! sound card. I got GBPVR and the Plugin (v17) up and running just fine with the cards. Big Grin

I'm using Moonlight encoder now. I'll try to mess around with the intervideo one later and tell you guys if it works.

Thanks, I've added the card to post #1.

I doubt the intervideo encoder will work, but if it does please let us know. (The moonlight encoder is no longer supported, but it's the only one that works)

Hello normanr,
I have a "Leadtek Winfast Tv2000 Expert" and have been attempting to use the SoftwareRecorder with it. I have the same problem as mpoling where I can play LiveTV ok but can not record nor use Timeshifting.

I've attached my log files to give further clues as to what might be happening...
I'm also not confident as to what settings I should have in the Software Recorder Configuration so I've included a screenshot in the zip file.

Try using the Moonlight MPEG Audio Encoder and Moonlight M71 Muxer.

The Moonlight Audio Encoder and M71 Muxer give the same result.
In the log it mentions that SetupRecordingGraph() gives an error. Can I debug this in vb.net and find the error code? (Would it help?)
