Every now and then I get hit by a missed recording, caused by 'Recording service not running at recording time'. It's always unexpected and it might be weeks from one occurrence to the next.
I never do things like stop the recording service manually and my system runs 24-7. I can only guess that NPVR just stops responding every now and then.
Is this a common occurrence or is it just me? If I'm not the only one, has anyone thought of a way to at least raise an alert that something is not right (recording service not running)? Some sort of watchdog process maybe? How could this be done?
