Yeah, that's the reason i do it this way. It can't happen anything bad, but it takes care for a clean folder.

I have put the batch file just in the same folder as the timeshift files are. Just insert:
Code:
del *.ts

It's very easy to call this batchfile from taskplaner and you can configure it's running time as you wish. For a non 24h power on server it would be good enough to delete those files just after startup.

Can someone watch 30 seconds or so of live tv from a client pc, then zip and attach the client npvr.log and server nercord.log?

This patch should fix the situation with live tv files being left behind on the server after a live tv session from a client PC.

If it doesnt, post the logs. I added a few messages.

smajor Wrote:Yes, my PC clients do this too. I have a bat file that deletes them on the server around 4am every morning.

Ive just created this myself, deletes all files ending in ts (*.ts), works well.
Many Thanks

wait, didnt fix it....

stopped the recording service, closed nPVR (server and all clients), then closed the tray icon on the server, copied file. Restarted tray, restarted service, tested server, works as before.

Client, same as before, still leaves the file... Sad
Many Thanks

In that nrecord.log, it looks like live tv was still running at the end of the file. Had you exited live tv on the client?

My bad, the logs where zipped way after the problem

Ive attached a new set of files, almost all the files in this log (after midnight GMT-5) will be from the client, i dont watch anything on the server itself, its all client driven (except the test i did earlier).

So i stopped watching live TV then closed the client and zipped the logs up, this one will be more accurate, the files are still in the live buffer.
Many Thanks
Ashley

Bufferfile stays like before. Again a set of logs from server and client. Smile

Here is another go at it. This should make sure the files are deleted both for client PC and for VLC clients.
