DVB/ATSC EPG - Truncates First Letter?

My XMLTV based schedule on one channel in html format finally ran out so I decided to try the DVB/ATSC EPG.

Seems to work OK, BUT it truncates the first letter?

How does this work? Is it possible to manipulate the DVB/ATSC EPG post-download? If yes, where is it stored?
The upper schedule is their web-schedule.

There is no intermediate file to manipulate. It goes pretty much straight from the stream to the database.

To work out the cause of the missing character, I'd probably need you to capture a one minute full transport stream, so that I can replicate it here. It's likely to be something to do with my handling of UTF-16 characters, which are only really used in Asia, so not well tested.

If you do a forum search you should find info about the registry setting to set to capture a full ts. If you dont find it, let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.

create a c:\temp\live\ directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR\RecordFullTS=1, then start the application and watch a tv show on that frequency for a minute.

Now the STRANGE part. Viewed with VLC, the 1 min full TS (full-0c520020.ts) is a recording of the OTHER (TVB Pearl) of our two FTA DVB-T channels, BUT while it was recording, NPVR actually showed the CORRECT show (ATV World)???

Its a recording of all data on a specific frequency, so will contain multiple channels. VLC is just picking the first channel.

I'm not sure what to say about your negative size. You cant have a negative size. It must have a positive size. It must be Explorer mis-reporting it, or something similar.

You'd need to upload it to somewhere like megaupload.com, and post the URL so I can download it.

The autorecords don't work well as every first character is a square, an apostraphe or a dot :-)
