Where did steeb go wrong asking for MVP support for NextPVR? Big Grin

I am sure I never got this level of response Wink

Does that mean that now I have replaced another 2 x MVP's with PCH A110's I did not need to bother Big Grin

cheers

Wow quite a dig. I am sure I responded more to your posts about the MVP then I have to anyone else. I don't recall you posting this particular problem with skipping even though I basically counted on you doing all the MVP testing.

If you truly feel they that way, I suggest you can put the A110's on ebay.

I obviously feel very awkward with this situation. It was Steeb who told me NPVR worked pretty good on the MVP, but there would be no support.
I didn't expect to encounter the skip problems and the amount of support it would take to solve it, if I did I wouldn't have switched to NPVR.
I am grateful to all three of you for making it possible to run NPVR on the MVP without (all but one) problems.

And talking about problems: with the same recordings as yesterday, with the TVListings folder deleted, I have the same crash after pressing back/exit on the MVP remote when playing back a recording. Attached the logs.

Oh blimey, not a dig at all, I was trying to be funny (I really must give that up :o ) It is the way I write them that can come out wrong. I just wish Wim had been around last year when we were looking at the MVP's.

Never Wink I have a mix of A110's and MVP's now. Yes the PCH's are of course a superior device but without the support from you and sub I never would have been able to bridge the gap.

Am so sorry if my post wasn't posted well.....

Sorry I can't really help there, I can only respond to posts about problems and don't test the MVP.

I can duplicate this here now. I will eventually look into this, hopefully tonight.

Sub, can you provide a patch that delays sending a screen update after a video stop for the MVP? What I see happening is the media stream is continuing to send blocks of data while the GUI stream is changing to menu state

Bump. I am hoping I can tear down my MVP build environment, but I want to test this fix first.

Can you post a log showing this?

I'm not sure if I can be of help (maybe you need more specific information from Martin?), but I attached the logs of my crash in post #113 above.
Unfortunately logs.rar and logs2.rar are exactly the same. I intended to attach the logs of a crash with an analog recording and the logs of a crash with a digital recording. Hopefully it doesn't matter in this case.
