Found some problems
When updating the series.xml files the first show's info is used as the info for every show after that. Show names with punctuation marks won't rename. Can you make one log a day instead of one log per show?

I would need a rename log for this. Quote:Show names with punctuation marks won't rename.I will check on this. Quote:Can you make one log a day instead of one log per show? No, I use NPVR's logging but I guess you could ask sub to create more generations. The logging in --updateepg mode shows the future rename scenarios, before they happen and there are several issues I see possible. I will give these a different name so you will have 4 EPG updates of some data. - Hawaii Five0 sorry this is currently impossible since TheTVDB.org wants Hawaii Five0 (2010). I may special case this in the future - Person of Interest TheTVDB and Zap2It disagree on the Episode Name of S01 E06 so no match is possible. - Ringer TVDB.org has "The Poor Kids Do It Every Day" Zap2it "The Poor Kids Do It Everyday" - Unforgettable future episode doesn't have subtitle yet in the database. Your Unforgettable.xml is wrong too and needs to be deleted so there might be an issue fetching the xml when the subtitle is missing. Some of these may get correct in future EPG updates before the rename happens. I also noted several shows look like the need the xml file to be retrieved again, hopefully on rename time this will happen. Martin

nobody Wrote:Found some problems Try the attached, it should fix most of the issues you addressed. You should delete all the XML files in Plugins\SearchLite\Series in case the wrong file had be downloaded. Edit update on http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post421247 Martin

I'll try the new version when I get a chance.
What I meant to say was, the Unforgettable.xml is wrong it was updated just after Ringer, the Ringer.xml is correct but the Unforgettable.xml has the same info as Ringer.xml, so somehow imagegrab kept the info for Ringer and didn't get the info for Unforgettable. Not really worried about the logs, probably won't need to look at them after these bugs are worked out. I have a workaround for shows with a year(2010) in them 1. go to /media/shows select the show.xml you want to edit, remove everything between the <Series> </Series> tags 2. Go here, change the showname www.thetvdb.com/api/GetSeries.php?seriesname=SHOWNAME&language=all 3. Find the show & language, copy everything between the <Series> </Series> tags to the show the you are editing & save in /media /shows now it should get the correct show info. 4. After an epg update you can go to /searchlite/series show.xml to get some extra info that is in the <Series> </Series> tags and copy that to the /media/shows show.xml file between the <Series> </Series> tags, if you want.

Yes I found and fixed the cause of this. It was doing some on the rename logic in --updateepg mode that it should not have been doing. I'm modifying the xml from /media/shows (it doesn't change) NOT the xml from from /searchlite/series (changes weekly) but the /searchlite/series xml has some extra info between the <series> </series> tags that probably should be copied to the /media/shows xml. It works, try it. I tried the new version it works so far except for this rename.

You're right I probably extract the seriesID from the Media/Shows to grab the Series xml so it could work. Quote:I tried the new version it works so far except for this rename. TheTVDB has "Love, Loss and Legacy" Zap2it's EPG has "Loss, Love And Legacy" so this is an impossible match. ABC has the same as TheTVDB. Martin

Martin: As you know, I've started trying imagegrablite to rename files so they are recognized in Plex Media Server. Everything went fine with the first recording. The series name was found for the next recording, but not the episode name. As a result, the file wasn't renamed (log att.) Couldn't you have it put in a null name like s00e00.<title> so Plex will at least identify the file as a tv program and grab the series artwork?

The issue is that NPVR identifies the the program as "The Twilight Zone" and not the real show which is "The Twilight Zone (1985)" Until sub populates the original air date field which he said he might do in the next version, it will be difficult to make this distinction. Even zap2it (the link is provided in the log http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tv/the-twil...0189960015 ) doesn't do it correctly so in Plex you would end up with the info for S02E11 from the original series.
