I would like to change the background color of a selected or highlighted show in TV Guide. It's a bright green and it drowns out the text so I would like change it to a white or slate backkground such as when a selection is highlighted in all other screens in NPVR. I imagine I would specify this is in guide.xml under Skins but I can't figure out which line it is or what the color name is.

If you are using the default skin I'm fairly sure you will find the colours in the global.xml

<!--TVGuide-->
<Color name="backgroundColor" color="#000305"/>
<Color name="selectedColor" color="#00c23d"/>
<Color name="recordingColor" color="#8f0a00"/>
<Color name="recordingSelectedColor" color="#d60e00"/>

In the guide.xml, you can edit the "selectedColor" attribute on the "Guide" element. I think it defaults to a value "selectedColor" color, which is defined in global.xml. So, you can either set somthing like selectedColor="Yellow" in the guide.xml, or change the value of selectedColor in global.xml.

EDIT: what he said.

Thanks Jaggy. #00c23d" is the green I was speaking about. Any idea what the color is for highlighting in all of the other screens?

Well I guess the color is Vertical:#fafcff-#add6ff so now the question is how to I change the text color to black once I have the show selected or is that possible?

From memory I don't think you will be able to use "Vertical:#fafcff-#add6ff" for those colours, you will just have to experiment & see how you get on..

For the test look in the font section of global.xml for this line

<Font name="GuideText" color="#fafafa" size="11.95" typeFace="DroidSans"/>

Oops but I don't think you can change the text color between selected to non selected.

What's interesting is alibert was able to change the text color in TV Listings between selected and non-selected. Oh well. I'll have to experiment with colors then. I'd like to get something close to one of the shades in Blur. Any ideas how to find out what some of the color codes for those shades are?

You can use a program like AdesCrlPicker: http://download.cnet.com/AdesClrPicker/3...95770.html
