JP23 Wrote:One last question - Video library will display the plot field from the xml/nfo file, but can it display anything else, and is what is shown in anyway configurable? Could I somehow display the 'outline' field instead of the 'plot' field?
It only really uses the 'title' and 'description' from nfo files. There is lots of different file formats out there, but below gives a summary of where it gets those fields from.

For 'title' it searches for the first existing one of these:
/xml/movie/title
/tvshow/title
/movie/title
/episodedetails/title

For 'description' it searches for the first existing one of these:
/xml/movie/outline
/xml/movie/plot
/tvshow/outline
/tvshow/plot
/movie/plot
/episodedetails/plot

For xml files, title is /Title/LocalTitle, and description is /Title/Description

I've added the movie duration, and genre categories to my video library list. I've changed these few lines on the videos.xml in the skins directory. An image of what this looks like is attached.

<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@title" location="30.9,7.45" size="64,12" font="Title1" valign="Bottom" wrap="true"/>
<Rect visible="@hasMetaData" location="30.9,20" size="3.09,0.2" fillColor="Accent2_Horizontal_FadeIn"/>
<Rect visible="@hasMetaData" location="33.97,20" size="63.77,0.2" fillColor="Accent2_Horizontal_FadeOut"/>
<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@description" location="30.9,21.55" size="66.86,68" font="DefaultSmall" wrap="true"/>
<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@duration" location="30.9,71.55" size="66.86,68" font="DefaultSmall" wrap="true"/>
<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@genre" location="30.9,76.55" size="66.86,68" font="DefaultSmall" wrap="true"/>

And this is what the movie.xml file looks like to produce the data.
<Title>
<LocalTitle>Bolt (2009)</LocalTitle>
<ProductionYear>5 January 1996 (USA)</ProductionYear>
<RunningTime>96 min</RunningTime>
<Description>The canine star of a fictional sci-fi/action show that believes his powers are real embarks on a cross country trek to save his co-star from a threat he believes is just as real.
</Description>

Rather surprised that it was not brought up, but the example JP23 posted came from straight from the wiki. Is there documented somewhere what an appropriate XML file might look like?

First of all, a million thanks, elbryyan. This saved me a ton of time!

A few notes:
* If you're looking for the location of videos.xml, I found it in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR\Skin\Default\Videos.
* One pitfall of that shown above is that if you have a very long description, it will bleed over the runtime/genre fields. On my system (1360x768) I overcame this with some slight adjustments to the coordinates used above:

<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@description" location="30.9,21.55" size="66.86,61" font="DefaultSmall" wrap="true"/>
<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@duration" location="30.9,86.55" size="66.86,68" font="DefaultSmall" wrap="true"/>
<Text visible="@hasMetaData" text="@genre" location="30.9,91.55" size="66.86,68" font="DefaultSmall" wrap="true"/>
