In the NPVR wiki under Hardware/hauppauge 45 button remote/configuration, details are given for configuration of the Hauppauge remote. I followed the instructions and all the button presses work fine for controlling NPVR functions except I'm unable to open the nPVR application by pressing the Green Power button. I think it has something to do with the final lines to be added (Start the NPVR GUI using the GRNPOWER button):

[Default]
GRNPOWER={run(C:\Program Files (x86)\NPVR\NextPVR.exe)}

Where should these lines be added and should anything else be removed?

In my Irremote.ini there is a heading/title labeled "[Default]" I would suspect it would go under that heading, I can't confirm that as I don't use a Hauppauge remote directly connected to my computer.

Jaggy has it right - the GRNPOWER line goes in the preexisting [Default] entry. Search for [Default] in your irremote.ini file. If there is a GRNPOWER line already present, comment it out and use your GRNPOWER command.

I tried putting the new GRNPOWER statement under the default heading and commenting the existing statement out. Using the Green Power button still does nothing. In addition now the remote commands that previously worked do not work either. Here's the default portion if the irremote.ini file.

Check to see if ir.exe is still running. Anyway, after you make changes to irremote.ini, you must restart ir.exe for it to pick up the changes.

Also, I think your command line should be:
GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~2\NPVR\Nextpvr.exe)}

Changing the command line as you suggested and restarting the computer resolved the problem. Thank you very much for the help.
