I was curious about this, but does NPVR (or TV Listings) support the images and other xml data?

Hi All,

I am wondering if anyone can lend assistance. I have been using mc2xml for over a year, with only the one update necessary a while back when it expired. My program data is completely blank right now.

I updated mc2xml to the latest release, rebuilt my xmltv.xml file -- it is fully populated. I looked in the file and see program data into 2012. I am also running the latest Final patch set for NPVR.

I tried emptying the EPG within NPVR, then reloading it. It loads, doesnt complain. But still no program data at all. NEWA statistics says "You have guide data until 12/25/2011 (0 days)" . Despite this, if I go back on Dec 24, I don't see anything either.

Completely confused as to why this is not working any longer. Any ideas? Is it related to this thread, which seems to have been resolved? Maybe not?

Well, as of early the 24th, mine is still ending on the 26th. It's possible not everyone is fixed yet. There are folks on that thread I posted that, as of the 23rd, they haven't had an update.

Because mc2xml with Microsoft data may not even be legal, why not just subscribe to Schedules Direct and avoid the nuisances?

mc2xml has been very solid...at least in the US, until now. I am not sure about schedules direct...perhaps I need to test that out? But while I am at that, it may make sense just to bring up WMC on my Win7 box and see what that has to offer, with schedules included. It seems so slick as I am installing it now. With an Xbox360 available now... it seems the A110 may be long in tooth. But Martin...I am still using it for npvr on the other set. Oh what to do . If anyone else has common experiences with mc2xml and has a fix....appreciated.

You should certainly give MCE a shot and least you would determine where the problem is. MCE is the only solution for DRM'd material other than that although the is A110 old, it still plays more a/v formats then the xbox 360, and I think the broadcast standards that you play from NPVR will be around for many years to come.

Thanks martin.... mvpmcx2 is still quite slick, and what it accomplishes.... I will compare it to the xbox360 as an extender... I bet I experience pain with supported formats as you stated. But so far the program guide is very nice....pictures for series and fancy stuff I setup some recurring recording to see how well it works. Yes I love the A110s ... they still looks great and plays nearly everything, even with the clunky UI.
