Thanks again. I had a quick skim to see where else it could go but you've probably picked the only suitable place short of making a whole new class, and that seems pointless.
SoupSatchel Wrote:+1 for the "music audio renderer" option in config.xml.
I've looked at other media centre software (which you have to pay for) and it offers different audio outputs for music and video. There are quite a lot of people using it this way so I'm not sure how niche it is. Audiophiles seem to recommend this alternative quite a lot solely because of the bit-perfect music output options and computer audio is really starting to take off now with new dacs coming out every few weeks.
Sadly this alternative software seems a bit rubbish for TV (esp in the UK with Freesat HD and Freeview HD) which is what my family use the box for most plus I've developed an emotional (I believe rational) attachment to GBPVR/nPVR. At the moment I use foobar for lossless FLAC files but it looks pants and is clunky.
I tried the switch default a while back and it just annoyed my wife when she pressed it by mistake and couldn't watch Hollyoaks.
Pretty please. :-)
you can mention JRMC if you want to .....:-)
I paid for it as I needed to direct my audio to my hi-fi (hence this thread), it looks very neat and b/c of it's audiophile credentials (I have a reasonably decent hi-fi)
The Tv / recording /epg capability is not a patch on npvr tho imo.
If I hadn't paid for JRMC, I would be very content with cncb's Musicmonkey based plugin.
Cheers Sub!

Sorry to be a pain, but could you change/complement the BUILDING_GRAPH events so a different event is fired for each of the audio renderer types that you have now, eg: BUILDING_VIDEO_GRAPH, BUILDING_DVD_GRAPH and BUILDING_MUSIC_GRAPH?
Just trying to pre-empt the information needed to cope with all the plugin requests within this thread...
