SearchLite has been updated to utilize much more of the information that is available in the EPG data that sub now makes available. Previous versions of SearchLite did allow some of this functionality but the information will be much easier to get it for movie star-ratings and genres.
As a recap movie rating searching is done by using the . key on the keyboard or the 1 key on the remote. Hit the number of periods equal to number of stars you search. If you wonder why I didn't use the asterisk key, I am saving that for wild card searching in the future.
Genre searching is also available, but you need to run genreLite in PostEPGUpdate.bat as explained here. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...enre-Maker I am probably the only one that used this before, maybe some of you, especially in North America will be motivated.
Thanks to the hard work of UJB, a lot more information is returned when you Search too (First Run, Original Air Date, Genre) and SearchLite includes the 2.3.6 option to record only New episodes.
The file is now available on the wiki http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...teSetup.7z
As a reminder since some people like to search by letter like the built-in Search, if you hold the remote/keyboard left or right keys you can quickly move by the starting letter.
Finally improvement to accented character searching are available using the AltGr key standards, and the accented characters available on the number keys on the remote enabled with Ctrl-F/FF Thanks to Reddwarf and his help testing this.
