PVR150 problems with image quality

Hi,

I bought a hauppage PVR150 card from the states, and so far it has been $160 bucks down the drain. I have sorted out the PAL issues, and have perfect live TV using winTV2000, but when I use GB-PVR I get very poor picture quality (It looks like it thinks it is NTSC). I have tried SageTV also, and it has the same problem!

So at this point it works fine in the crappy winTV2000 software, but nothing else!

In linux I have got it to go, but the picture quality is not as good as in winTV2000! ;(

I wish I did not sell my cheap compro card now!

The NTSC tuner of you PVR150 wont work in a PAL country, but you should be able to record PAL video via the composite/svideo connectors.

You could try editing direct.ini and setting ForceStandard=16.

Unfortunatly I can't play live-tv as I am getting that 'ERROR: object reference not set to an instance of an object', will check out the other forums for an answer to that one!

Try setting the deinterlacing to none, or disable live preview mode.
