I agree with Reddwarf that as it is isn't really (often) of much use really.

Then there is also the problem I was told about the other day (which I assume is related to this feature?) from one of the guys I help out in that he had in the past recorded the program "V" & now had started recording "Vampire Diaries" but it was putting it in the "V" directory & also listing the new program under "V" in the Recordings screen??

Assuming it continues to behave the same as it did in GBPVR, I've found it very handy over the years. Each to their own I guess.

I have no idea if it works the same as it did in GB-PVR or not & I'm not saying I won't still use it, all I was saying was a bit of tweaking to how it works would help this cool feature..... I always assumed (wrongly as subs message shows) that it used a portion (% maybe) of the original Title & worked on that not that it uses the "whole title".

Both NEWA and SearchLite to NEWA allow scheduling by "Starts With"

sub Wrote:You can probably do a manual record, set the type to 'Daily', and set the Advanced Rules to something like:

title = 'College Basketball' and description like '%Duke%'

So the "Name" field in the manual recording setup screen should be blank? I typed "title = 'College Basketball' , description = '%Duke%'" into the Advanced Rules and hit OK. Then when I go back and "update" the manual recording the "Advanced Rules" has reverted back to "None".

Did you set the recording type to 'daily'?

If you'd left it on 'record once' then the advanced rules are ignored.

Yes, set to record daily. When I update, Advanced Rules is back to "None".

I just double checked here, and it worked for me. When I hit update, it had the advanced rules I'd entered.

Can you do another test, and a screenshot before you hit ok to create the recurring recording? I'll try the exact same values.

Image01 shows Advanced Rules input. Hit OK, and then Update. Image02 shows Advanced Rules return to "None"

Did you delete the Name? It should start out as something like "Default", but you can change it to something more meaningful to you. I'm wondering if having it blank is causing problems.

Also, the advanced rules would need an "and" instead of the comma, and you'd need a single quote around '%Duke%'.
