keep computer awake to run task

Anyone know how to keep Win7 64 bit awake to finish a scheduled task? My computer wakes up and 2 minutes later it goes back to sleep without finishing the transcoding.

I've heard about changing the sleep timer or changing the power profile to performance, but I'd like to know if there are other workarounds. Do programs like insomia and caffiene work?

i have a little util i made called keepwoke.exe that will keep it awake, and on second call close and allow sleep..[for epg updates from scheduler]
if your transcodes are run from batch it should do...
i still need to put it thru extensive testing on win7, but it should be ok..and put code in to stop forced shutdowns as well..
there may be better alternatives out there tho..

so it looks like I need to change the power plan using powercfg. Here's my batch. I'm using an SSD and I think it bluescreens sometimes or that it doesn't fully wake (it seems to be pretty common) so I need to reboot as seen at the end. I'm trying to change it so that it doesn't reboot by changing the setting to never sleep instead of changing power plans. I just don't know what the difference between:

powercfg -x -standby-timeout-ac 60

and

powercfg -change -standby-timeout-ac 60

Can anyone tell me the difference? Also what's the difference beteen standby and sleep? Is this the same as in the power plans when the computer goes to sleep?
