[Ok, got npvr 2.3.6 R1 running on all clients and the server can watch multiple clients at the same time and each one freezes but not at the same at random times.

Pressing paue and then play makes it carry on, but it stutters as if its just on the edge of the buffer so to speak, pressing pause again and waiting 5 seconds then pressing play makes it play fine.

Obviously we need some logs and I am guessing extra debugging info so if SUB or anyone can let me know how to enable it I can give you the full logs and information etc.

Many thanks

ok I have added reader.log and npvr.log from the client and nrecord.log from the server, it paused for 10 seconds at 7:25pm where the lip sync went very out follow by a freeze around 8pm

i have put 2.2.6 back on now but the same problem occurs these logs are from 2.2.6 with all patches

the logs are on the 4 th post down

There is very little info in that log, you should attach complete logs from both server and client showing a freeze occur.

The last entry in Nrecord.log shows a connection to the server forcebly closed, was that when the client froze? The npvr.log file does not seem to be from the client. It would be easier to interpret the logs if you restart the recording service on the server, connect one client only and reproduce the freeze situation. Post the logs in separate files.

Mmm, I see. What kind of connection is there between server and clients? There is no obvious cause for the freeze that I can see (maybe Sub can see something I don't), but if it is WiFi you may have a signal issue. Any switches/hubs/routers in between?

Hi,

its on a wired network 100mb through a cisco rack mount switch, I tested it previously on a desktop to desktop and it work okay then moved to my server, the only difference is the server is windows 7 64 and the desktops were on windows 7 32 bit

Well the OS should not matter at all. A wired network should be stable enough to run client/server, unless it is heavily loaded with other traffic. Are both server and clients up to date with the latest patches? Have you tried playing with different decoders on the client(s)?
